FROM PASTOR ERIC
Welcome to Horizon SouthBay (HSB) Church! We are glad you are here. My name is Eric and I am blessed to be serving as the new pastor of HSB. We are a small church that loves Jesus, studying the Bible, and reaching our community for Christ. We teach the word of God, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, and are affiliated with Calvary Chapel.
The pandemic has made this last year very difficult for everyone. So our focus for this year is building up the body of Christ through fellowship, strengthening church unity, actively loving one another as the family of God, and together reaching out to a lost and hurting world. We invite you to come fellowship with us, grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, and be a part of what God is doing in the South Bay.
My wife, Regina and I, became Christians in 1998 at Horizon Christian Fellowship with Mike MacIntosh. We both went to the School of Evangelism. In 2003, we moved to Mexico to serve as missionaries and help plant a church. We also served as missionaries in El Salvador, the Coachella Valley and with the Festival of Life. In 2012, we moved back to San Diego and started serving at Horizon SouthBay. We started a Spanish home fellowship, which turned into a Sunday morning service. I continue to serve as the Pastor of the Spanish ministry, along with now pastoring the English church.
We are so excited about this new chapter in our lives. We hope to see you Sunday or at one of our many weekly activities. May God richly bless you and your family!

Vision and wisdom for Pastor Eric and the leadership team as they lead God's church.
That the Holy Spirit would pour out His blessings and gifts on His people and the community
That we would grow in unity, purity, and love.
That we would be a light shining brightly in our community.
"I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy, for your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ." (Philippians 1:3-6)
