Welcome to Horizon SouthBay (HSB) Church! We are glad you are here. My name is Eric and I am blessed to be serving as the pastor of HSB. We are a church that loves Jesus, studying the Bible, and reaching our community for Christ. We teach the Word of God, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, and are affiliated with Calvary Chapel.

Our verses for this year are Colossians 3:1-4 "f then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory." Come join us as we seek Christ, His presence, His will, to know Him, and glorify Him with our lives, until His glorious appearing. We invite you to come fellowship with us, grow in your relationship with God, and be a part of what God is doing in the South Bay.

My wife, Regina and I, became Christians in 1998 at Horizon Christian Fellowship with Mike MacIntosh. We both went to the Horizon School of Evangelism. In 2003, we moved to Mexico to serve as missionaries and help plant a church. We also served as missionaries in El Salvador, the Coachella Valley and with the Festival of Life. In 2012, we moved back to San Diego and started serving at Horizon SouthBay.  We started a Spanish home fellowship, which turned into a Sunday morning service. In 2021, Norlyn Kent, the founding pastor, retired, and I became the lead pastor. I also continue to serve as the Pastor of the Spanish ministry.

We are so excited about what God is doing in our community.. We hope to see you Sunday or at one of our many weekly activities. May God richly bless you and your family!

God Bless,

Eric and Regina Martin

Prayer Requests:

  • Vision and wisdom for Pastor Eric and the leadership team as they lead God's church.

  • That the Holy Spirit would pour out His blessings, fruit, and gifts on His people and the community in which we live.

  • That we would set are eyes, our minds, our hearts, and our walk on the things above, the things of Christ, not on the things of this earth.

  • That we would be a light shining brightly in our community.
